Vector signal generator modulation

The picture below shows how a signal is synthesized from the IQ signal in the vector signal generator.

The first two waves are produced by a reference oscillator. Their phase difference is constantly π/2.

The second two graphs show baseband I and Q changing from (1; 1) to (1; -1).

The last wave shows how the signal will be modulated in a vector signal generator.
